Get on your bikes and Ride!!
We hosted a bike themed party for Skylar's 4th birthday. It was a kind of mix between a bike rodeo and an official bike race tour. Everyone seemed to have a blast, and Skylar totally loved it!

My mom sewed 28 bags for the party. Thanks, Mom! The bags are designed after the bags that the racers wear when they get their food. A few years back we were at the Tour of California and happened to be at the end of a feed zone where the racers were throwing their bags off to the side, so we collected a few. They came in handy to get the pattern. My dad found the ideal material to sew them out of, with multi-colored bikes. Skylar is very much in to rainbows so it was the perfect material. We also stenciled on the bag "Tour de Skylar 2012". We stenciled the same thing onto a few shirts. Guy, Whitney, my mom, and I all wore matching shirts as if we were official race staff. It was fun!

| It's tough to read the sign but this table was the water and feed zone. Kids could pick up their bags of food and water bottles here. These also doubled as their party favors. |

| Here was registration, where they made their customized license plates to hang on their bikes. This was also the service center, where they could pick up a playing card to attach to their bikes to they could make noise as they pedaled. |

4th birthday? I can't believe it! Awesome party Meaghann! Such great ideas. I love the feed bags. I might have to keep this in the idea bag for Ty's 4th birthday.
